Chairman of the Board
Robert C. Haydon is a director and our President & Chief Executive Officer. He resides in Auburn, California and has over 40 years of banking experience in Placer County. Mr. Haydon served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Placer Sierra Bank, Auburn, California, (and its predecessor Placer Savings and Loan Association), from 1994 to 2001. Mr. Haydon served on the Board of Directors of Placer Sierra Bank (and its predecessor Placer Savings and Loan Association) from 1989 to 2003. Mr. Haydon began his career in 1967 with Placer Savings and Loan Association and has served in a number of capacities. In 1989, Mr. Haydon was elected to the board of directors of Placer Savings and Loan Association and appointed Senior Executive Vice President in charge of operations. He served as Chairman of the Board of Community 1st Bank from 2006 through 2011 when he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Haydon has been active in many local charitable and civic organizations during his career in banking. He was the president of the following service clubs and organizations: Auburn Rotary Club, Auburn Hospital Foundation, Motherlode Youth and Family Services and the Auburn 20-30 Club. Mr. Haydon served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards for Sierra Business Council, Placer County United Way, Placer Union High School District Master Planning Committee and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Haydon is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Haydon is currently the President of Millertown Water Association, LLC, a neighborhood association formed for the construction of a neighborhood water treatment system.
Mr. Haydon graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Economics. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Savings and Loan Administration at the University of Texas, Austin.
Vice Chairman of the Board
Russell P. Baldo is the Vice Chairman of the Board and resides in Lincoln, California. Mr. Baldo was a partner in the law firm of Chamberlain, Chamberlain & Baldo in Auburn since 1974 until the merger with Sinclair, Wilson, Baldo & Chamberlin in 2012. Mr. Baldo was formerly a director at U.S. Bank of California and Heart Federal Savings and Loan Association. Mr. Baldo served as a director of the Placer County Bar Association from 1976 to 1980 and was the association's President for the 1978-1979 term. Mr. Baldo is a former director and past President of the Placer County Legal Aid Society.
Since 1973, Mr. Baldo has been a member of the Auburn Host Lion's Club, serving numerous terms as director and President. Mr. Baldo has been active in a number of civic organizations, including director positions on the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation, the Harry Rosenberry Foundation, the St. Joseph's Parish School Board, the Mercy Foundation, Auburn Faith Community Hospital Foundation, the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and the Committee to Preserve the Courthouse.
Mr. Baldo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
Lori A. Bluett is a director and resides in Granite Bay, California. Ms. Bluett is the owner of Bluett & Associates, Inc., a real estate consulting firm and is the CEO of Juno Commercial Real Estate, Inc., a commercial real estate management firm, as well as a consulting executive director of Panattoni Development, Inc. Ms. Bluett has directed and overseen the management, leasing, asset management, controls and risk management of approximately 150 million square feet of commercial properties located throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, for private, institutional, fund and trust clients.
Ms. Bluett is a past president and current board member of the Central Valley's Building Owner and Manager's Association (BOMA), and is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), and is a director for the Sacramento Area Commerce & Trade Organization (SACTO) formed to bring international awareness of California's business climate.
Ms. Bluett is also actively involved in serving local charitable organizations including ALTA California Regional Center, a private non-profit corporation designed to assist people with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities and The Teachable Moment Foundation.
Greg Gersack is a director and resides in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Gersack is Managing Principal, Head of Institutional Sales/ Capital Markets of FIG partners and has over 23 years of experience in bank equity investing. Prior to FIG, he was a Board Member and Director of Bank Equity Sales and Trading at Howe Barnes Hoefer and Arnett. His team was responsible for trading and monitoring over 500 small-cap and mid-cap bank equities and the firm's bank equity trading inventory. He served as the HBI's primary contact for the firm's largest institutional clients and assisted them with identifying investments and trading activity.
Mr. Gersack's professional experience also includes seven years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, working as the Supervisory Financial Analyst with the Supervision and Regulation Division on bank merger and acquisition proposals, focusing on the financial, managerial and competitive effects of these transactions. As a part of his role, he also participated in on-site examinations of commercial banks and bank holding companies, principally in the Midwest. Prior to that Mr. Gersack worked in the trust department of Beverly Bank. Mr. Gersack is also a director of NorCal Community Bancorp and its subsidiary, Bank of Alameda.
Mr. Gersack received an MBA in Finance from DePaul University in 1997 and Bachelor's degree in Economics from Lawrence University, Appleton, WI in 1987.
Peter J. Raffetto is a director, raised in Auburn, graduated from Placer High School and resides in Sacramento, California. He started his business career in the brokerage business with Mitchum, Jones & Templeton. In 1975, Mr. Raffetto joined River City Bank, the beginning of his service as President and CEO of multiple banks in the Greater Sacramento Region, including Calnet Business Bank, Sierra West Bank and Truckee River Bank.
Mr. Raffetto has been active in the community including service as director of California Independent Bankers, California Bankers Association, Board of Trustees of the UC Berkeley Foundation, UC Berkeley Chancellor's Committee, Haas Business School, Trustees of Jesuit High School, Sutter Club, SACTO, Del Paso Country Club, Hestia Farms, WEAVE, Sutter Butte Outing Club and California Waterfowl Association.
Mr. Raffetto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
Robert F. Sinclair is a director and resides in Rocklin, California. He is also a partner in the law firm of Sinclair Wilson, Baldo & Chamberlain, Attorneys at Law, with offices in Roseville and Auburn, CA. Mr. Sinclair received a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, in 1974. He received his Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law, in 1977. Mr. Sinclair was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, in 1978. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Sinclair served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. William P. Clark Jr., Associate Justice, California Supreme Court, and as a staff attorney for the Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, working for Justices Robert K. Puglia and Hugh E. Evans.
Mr. Sinclair has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1980. Mr. Sinclair limits his practice to matters involving business, real estate and litigation. He is a current member of the Placer County Bar Association, having served as its President in 1983.
Mr. Sinclair has been a member of the Rotary Club of Roseville since 1979, and a founding director of the Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation. He served as President in 1993 – 1994 and was selected as an Outstanding Roseville Rotarian in 1998. Mr. Sinclair is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. He has been a member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce since 1979, having served as its President in 2006.
Mr. Sinclair was honored to receive the Edward M. Friedman Community Service Award from the Roseville Chamber in January 2014, in recognition of his many contributions to the Roseville community.
Michael G. Wilson is a director and resides in Auburn, California. Mr. Wilson is the President and Managing CPA for Wilson, Wilson & Taylor, CPA's. Founded in 1974, the firm is the longest established CPA practice in Auburn, CA. Prior to joining Wilson, Wilson & Taylor; Mr. Wilson worked for the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP as a business assurance consultant.
Mr. Wilson has served as a director and president of Auburn Rotary Club, the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation, and the Placer Community Action Council. Mr. Wilson also served on the board of Habitat for Humanity and the active 20-30 Club of Sacramento. Mr. Wilson is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and was selected a Rotarian of the Year.
Mr. Wilson is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics with honors. Mr. Wilson also obtained his Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Jeremy Zhu is a director and resides in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Zhu is the founder and Managing Director of Wedbush Opportunity Capital, LLC, an investment partnership under WEDBUSH Inc. Mr. Zhu is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of WEDBUSH, Inc. focusing on strategic growth initiatives, investments and acquisitions.
Prior to Wedbush, Mr. Zhu worked at Lehman Brothers Venture Capital Group as well as CSC Kalchas Group, a strategy consultancy with numerous multinational corporations as clients. He is currently a board member of Van Hulzen Asset Management, Diamond Wipes International, Hestia Tec LLC and Asian Pacific Community Fund.
Mr. Zhu received his Masters in Engineering at Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Cornell University.
Community 1st Bank Executive Officers
President, Chief Executive Officer & Director
James J. Kim is our President, Chief Executive Officer & Director and resides in Folsom, California. Mr. Kim has over 12 years of banking experience, prior to which Mr. Kim worked at the international business firm, Arthur Andersen. Most recently, he was our Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer prior to which he was the Senior Vice President and Controller for North Valley Bank from 2005 to 2007. Prior to North Valley Bank, Mr. Kim's experience includes working as the Controller for Calnet Business Bank and Feather River State Bank.
Mr. Kim serves on the Board and is the Treasurer of the Boys and Girls Club of Placer County. Mr. Kim also serves on the advisory board for the accounting program at Sierra College.
Mr. Kim obtained a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Sacramento.
Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Jeff T. Moore is Executive Vice President and our Chief Credit Officer and resides in Auburn, California. Mr. Moore has over 25 years of banking experience. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Five Star Bank from 2001 to 2005 and Five Star Bancorp from 2003 to 2005. Prior to joining Five Star Bank, Mr. Moore was with Placer Sierra Bank from 1996 to early 2001, where he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer in 1999. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Moore was with The Bank of Commerce, N.A., where he was promoted to Vice President and Interim Credit Administrator in 1996. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Moore worked as a Vice President and Commercial Lender with Sunrise Bank of California. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Moore was with The Bank of California, Sacramento Regional Office, where he was promoted to Vice President, Business Banking, in 1989. Mr. Moore began his banking career in 1980.
Mr. Moore is a member of the Auburn Gold Country Rotary Club, serving as its 2000-2001 President. He is also a member of the Sacramento Chapter of The Risk Management Associates (RMA).
Mr. Moore graduated from the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics in 1980. Mr. Moore graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School in 1999.
Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer
Toni B. White, CPA is our Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer and resides in Foresthill, California. Mrs. White has over 13 years of banking experience, prior to which Mrs. White worked at the international business firm, Arthur Andersen. Most recently, she was Vice President and Controller for Community 1st Bank from 2010 to 2014. She began her Financial Services career at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Lodi, California and has moved within the Financial Services industry working at County Bank in Merced and Rabobank in Roseville, California.
Mrs. White obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus.
